Common problems
It won't lift, or lifts slowly
Check the hydraulic fluid level first — low fluid is the most common cause. Confirm you're using the grade specified in your manual. If the level's fine, look for leaks at the cylinder and hose fittings. Still not right? Ring us.
The carriages aren't rising level
Balancing cable tension. The cables stretch slightly in the first weeks of use and need adjusting. Your installation manual covers the procedure — or ring us and we'll walk you through it.
The locks aren't engaging properly
Stop using the hoist. Check for obstruction in the lock ladders and that the release mechanism is fully returning. Don't operate a hoist whose locks aren't engaging in both columns.
Something arrived missing or damaged
Ring us. It happens occasionally with palletised freight and we'll sort it — that's the thing our customers write about most.

It's noisy
Some noise is normal from the power unit. Grinding or knocking from the carriages usually means slider wear or cable tension. Get it looked at.
